October 2014

This time of year is Carter's favorite!!  We have been talking about Halloween all year and it is almost here!  Grammie sent us some much needed Halloween decor and we have costumes ready.  Michael has been gone a lot for work during October.  We missed him a lot and kept busy with lots of play dates, preschool, and trips to the beach.  Carter started reading this past week and we have both been having fun learning more.  Life has been good.  We are excited to get Michael back on Tuesday and go to our ward trunk-or-treat.

Carter picked out his pumpkin and was so excited.

He gave his pumpkin a hug before bed.  He really likes it.  :)

These spiders are all over Guam but are not poisonous - just huge and scary.  This one is just above our front porch.

This is a close up of the spider above our front steps.

Caleb and Daddy at Asan beach.  We just came by for an evening walk.
I am glad I am married to Michael. He is such a wonderful husband and father. I miss him and can't wait for him to come home. I feel so blessed to be able to stay home with Carter and Caleb. They teach me love and patience and how truly incredible our Heavenly Father's plan is. Sometimes when I look at them I am just in awe that I am a mom and these adorable boys are mine to watch over and teach. Being a parent is a huge responsibility and I love it. I really love teaching them and learning how to be better for them. When I was little I always wanted to grow up to be a mom and now that I am one I feel I am truly living the dream.
Caleb found a coconut on the sand in Asan beach.  Carter took it away and posed with it.
Caleb.  18 months old.  Nursery official.  :)

Carter with Halloween decor from Grammie.  He played with the pieces for two hours before we actually assembled them.

My jogging buddies at Asan beach.

More Guam spiders. These spiders are huge - probably 3 inches in length.

... and Guam snakes.  I was told this one was poisonous.  It was two feet away from where I was standing on a rock.  Yikes.

Carter loves painting, playing with play doh, legos, coloring - and Caleb loves to watch.

These guys made a little make shift raft-thing out of large bamboos at the Governor's Complex and rode on it.

For an FHE activity we hiked the hill at Asan beach and found two caves like this from World War II.

Bri and Caleb at Ypao.

Michael about to leave for a business trip.  He had to take a picture of his carry on because my parents got it for him as a gift a while ago to use for business trips.  We didn't use it much for a couple of years but now it is used at least once a month.  :)

Chocolate dipped strawberries anyone?  Too late - they are gone.  :)  We got together with these guys while their dad was gone too!
